I was thinking, maybe if we didnt assum so much maybe we would see the world a little better. Here's a quick story:
I was sitting in History class and just listening, half-way, to the conversation that was going on around me while I read. Then I heard somthing that caught my attention. It was the boy who sits 3 seats over from me, "He shouldn't even be aloud to take drivers ed!" Then his sister who sits a few seats behind him said "If he does, i'm going to get really mad at the school." Well as I listened I found out that they were talking about a boy in our grade who has aspergers autism. Then my friend Britany who sits behind me leans up and asks "doesn't your brother have the same thing?" "Yeah." "Well this probably makes you really mad. Doesn't it?" I sort of slammed my books on my desk and said "Yeah! This does make me really mad!" everyone looked at me and I just quietly said "Sorry." Well they continued on and then finally I just said "If you don't know the situation and you don't know the people n that situation then you have not a single inch of room to talk judge it! And if you want to learn more about this I will bring you some books I had to read them because of my brother." My teacher just said "Yeah." even though he was in the conversation too. They all stopped talking about the whole thing. Then today someone I rearly talk to asked if I was okay beacuse of what happened yeaturday.
Anyways, the reason I told you this story was because on my walk home I relized that i have judged situations myself and I asked myself how it would have made them feel so I promised myself that I would try to never judge anything like this again. Maybe we should all take this into consideration and try to think about the way we judge others and thier lifes wihtout even knowing them.
